St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre is looking for part-time Resident Care Aides. We offer a pay range of $27.29 – $28.09 per hour, 7.5-hour shifts, a pension plan through HOOPP, and access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). You can also work extra hours if needed.

Job Duties:

• Help residents with their personal care needs such as bathing, brushing teeth, skin care, and nail care.
• Serve food, provide fresh water, and help residents with toilet use.
• Make beds and keep the residents’ rooms clean.
• Answer call bells quickly and transport patients to activities.
• Keep track of how much residents eat and drink.
• Help residents with daily living tasks.
• Do laundry and housekeeping.
• Assist in training new staff members and handle other tasks as needed.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma is required.
2. One year of experience is preferred.
3. Good attendance and work history.
4. Graduate of a Personal Support Worker program or similar course.
5. Being bilingual is a plus.

Salary:

$27.29 – $28.09 per hour.
